- Did you try turning off the Operator/Call Minder software? This is an
- application that loads when Windows starts, and it is what allows the
- answering machine/fax/speakerphone software to work properly on incoming
- calls. It's quite likely that this app is interfering with the comm port
- access of Trumpet Winsock. This isn't an issue if an external (or for that
- matter, _any_ other) modem is used, since the Operator software doesn't
- load if it doesn't detect the Presario modem.
